Job Description

Project Survival's Cat Haven is looking for our next docent to join the team! Docents are educators and tour guides who share in-depth knowledge and create engaging experiences for guests. Located 50 minutes east of Fresno in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Project Survival's Cat Haven is a small nonprofit dedicated to education and conservation of exotic cats. The individual hired for this position must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of people. Our docents support daily operations and play an important role in advancing the mission of our nonprofit. The ideal candidate is organized, computer-savvy, has excellent communication skills, and is excited to share a passion for cats and conservation. This role does not involve direct animal care.
Schedule Requirement:
Weekend availability is required for this position.
Responsibilities include:
Leading group tours multiple times a day, including light hiking in variable weather conditions Assisting with daily gift shop operations, including inventory, stocking, and cash handling Helping train volunteers Creating and posting content on social media Office support as needed, including data entry and scheduling Event support and assistance Experience working with a nonprofit and familiarity with social media platforms are a plus. This is a full-time position with benefits , working closely with the office team and Executive Director.
