Dog Groomer

In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and comfort while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each dog's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs with care and confidence, ensuring safe restraint and comfort throughout grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall behavior to tailor grooming techniques accordingly Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas after each appointment Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, aftercare instructions, and any health concerns observed during the grooming process Assist with pet handling duties such as feeding, walking, or basic veterinary care as needed in a veterinary or animal care setting Support team members with additional animal handling tasks like kennel cleaning or pet sitting when required Requirements

WILL TRAIN

but prior experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles is a bonus. Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices to ensure safety for pets and staff Previous veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or grooming equipment safely and comfortably Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and address their concerns professionally Strong animal handling skills with experience in pet care, kennel management, or equine handling is a plus Passion for animals combined with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Pay:

$20.00 - $50.00 per hour
