Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing tailored to each dog's breed, size, and coat condition Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health and behavior, alerting veterinary staff or pet owners of any concerns or abnormalities Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring a calm and positive experience for every dog Support additional animal care tasks such as kennel cleaning or basic veterinary assistance if needed Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and coat types Knowledge of dog training techniques to manage various temperaments during grooming sessions Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is highly advantageous for understanding animal health signals Skilled in animal handling, restraint, and pet care practices to ensure safety for pets and staff alike Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Familiarity with animal handling tools, pet sitting procedures, and kennel operations is a plus Join us to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
