Dog Handler

Overview We are seeking a motivated and hard-working Dog Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for working with dogs and a commitment to their well-being and development. This role involves working closely with various breeds of dogs, providing care, and continued cleaning of the pet care facility and environment and working into some admin duties (ex. emails, paperwork, organizing team duties) Minimum of 20hrs per week with options to add during seasonal high times. Must be able to pass a background check. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Duties Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding and exercising. Monitor the health and behavior of the animals, reporting any concerns to management. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pet care facility. Engage with dogs during playtime and socialization activities to promote healthy interactions. Perform heavy lifting as needed for moving supplies or equipment. Ensure compliance with safety protocols while handling animals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed Experience Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas: Veterinary assistance or knowledge of veterinary practices. Experience in animal handling, particularly with dogs of various breeds. Background in dog training or behavior modification techniques. Familiarity with pet care practices including feeding, exercise, and general well-being.
