Anatomy Gifts Registry is a mission-driven nonprofit whole-body donation organization seeking serious, dedicated individuals to join our team. A successful candidate thrives in a dynamic environment ; must be able to handle multiple priorities and high call volume while maintaining compassion and composure in stressful situations . As a Donor Services Coordinator (DSC), your primary function will be communicating with future donors and their loved ones as well as facilitating the donation of deceased donors, and working with their loved ones during that difficult time. It is of vital importance to provide the highest level of excellence in support for our donor families. You will be responsible for gathering information necessary to determine donor suitability for acceptance into our program, as well as placement within the medical research and education community. This role is essential to the company mission in serving meritorious scientists, clinicians, and educators with expertly prepared human anatomical gift specimens. Most communication takes place via telephone, email, and fax; with some limited face-to-face interaction with future donors/donor families. Along with assisting future donors/donor families, you will work closely with hospitals, hospice organizations, nursing homes, funeral homes, state medical examiners/coroners, and various state-run agencies to facilitate the donations.

Educational Background and Experience Qualifications:
Greater than or equal to Associates Degree in Healthcare or a related field (Social Work, Palliative Care, Thanatology, etc.) and/or commensurate Medical/Surgical/ Clinical office work experience Demonstrated excellence in accuracy, integrity, attention to detail, organization skills, reporting/recording skills, and follow-through Proven track record of working empathetically, compassionately, and professionally in crisis situations
Additional Expectations/Requirements:
Participation in rotational On-Call and 2nd Shift duties Willingness to work some evenings, some weekends, and some holidays Possess a cell phone as required for working on-call/off-site Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation Strict adherence to company guidelines pertaining to signed agreement on confidentiality of information Adherence to organizational hierarchy Compliance with all HIPAA laws Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance Comfortable sitting, walking, and standing for various periods of time Manual dexterity to operate phone, computer, and general office equipment Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Work Environment:
In your role as a DSC, you will mostly work at a desk or workstation in controlled temperatures; however, you will have occasional exposure to the warehouse and lab. You are expected to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures for working in an environment with possible exposure to potentially infectious substances, blood-borne pathogens, and chemicals. There may be times where contact is required with decedents/donors while wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment.) Pay is $22 per hour for this Entry Level position An increase in pay is likely upon successful completion of probationary period, with FULLY employer-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits for employees (and their dependents) working over 30 hrs/ week (non-deductible medical policy!) Do you have at least 1-2 years of experience in a caregiving or customer or patient facing or related role (including but not limited to call center or customer service rep, educational aid, nursing, day care or medical assistant, surgical tech, EMT, physical therapist, masseuse, medical coding/billing, or other allied health professional, etc.) Please elaborate on your experience. Do you have experience working with vulnerable populations including children, the elderly, individuals with mental or physical impairment or disability, bereaving individuals, individuals experiencing crisis or trauma, homeless or impoverished individuals, etc. If yes, please explain. Do you have at least an associate's degree or 1-2 years of comparable work experience in a professional setting (preferably in healthcare or a related field)? Do you have education or employment experience with medical or related terminology/ subjects (e.g., anatomy and physiology, biology, medical terminology, mortuary or funeral science, or nursing or healthcare related courses)? Please give an example of a time that you successfully navigated a crisis and/or high stress situation (preferably work related).
