Donut Fryer - Part Time

Description:

Mackenthun's Donut Fryer is responsible for quickly and efficiently preparing deep-fried bakery products that meet Mackenthun's quality standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Deep-fry and finish (ie. coat or frost) cake donuts and donut holes, old-fashioned, and yeast-raised sweet rolls. Monitor inventory and assist in ordering ingredients. Fill customer orders and keep Bakery shelves and the donut case clean and fully stocked. Clean work areas, maintain proper sanitation/safety, practice proper safe-handling of food products. Other Duties Help with selling events. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must be 18 or older. Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be skilled in basic math. Donut frying experience is desired, but not needed. Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English language and communicate respectfully with managers, co-workers and customers. Must be honest and dependable, able to work independently and as a team member. Interest in selling food and learning the characteristics and qualities of the products and services Mackenthun's offers. Provide supervision as needed to ensure excellent customer service and personal productivity. Minimize department losses due to improper product handling, storage, damage and spoils. Perform duties in a manner that safeguards company equipment, resources and image. Availability Candidate needs to be able to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 4:45am-8:45am (4 hour shifts) Must be able to work occasional holidays. Physical Demands Constant standing/walking/talking/hearing/seeing/ready to respond to department needs at any time during work shift. Frequent repetitive motions, bending at the waist, reaching arm's length/above shoulders/below waist, crouching stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs and lifting 60 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 1500 lbs. with use of pallet jack. Position requires close/distance/peripheral vision, depth perception and color vision. Equipment Used Baler, Bread Slicer, Candy Cooker, Compactor, Fryer, Fryer Filter, Heavy Lifting, Icing Table, Ladder, Lift Truck, Mixer, Ovens, Pallet Jack, Sinks, Steam Table, Walk-in Coolers, Walk-in Freezers, Wrapper/Sealer, Dishwasher. (Age Restrictions Apply) Work Environment Indoor, multi-faceted and fast-paced environment. Frequently work in warm/hot temperature in a small area while frying. Occasional work in a cooler or freezer. Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
