Hotel Indigo's Rooftop H&L Social is looking for a weekend Doorman/Security person. Guest Experience Welcome and greet guests entering H&L Social in a friendly and professional manner Create a positive first impression while maintaining Hotel Indigo service standards Provide directions and answer questions regarding hotel amenities, restaurant offerings, and rooftop operations Assist guests with elevator access and rooftop procedures as needed Access Control & Identification Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all liquor laws and age requirements Monitor wristbands, hand stamps, or other age verification procedures if utilized Control rooftop access points and ensure only authorized guests enter designated areas Assist with managing rooftop occupancy levels and waitlists during busy periods Safety & Security Monitor guest behavior and maintain a safe environment for all visitors and staff Identify and proactively address potential safety concerns De-escalate situations calmly and professionally when appropriate Notify management immediately of disturbances, unsafe behavior, or emergency situations Assist with enforcing hotel and rooftop policies, including prohibited items or conduct Conduct routine walkthroughs of public areas as needed Support emergency procedures including evacuation protocols when necessary Operational Support Communicate effectively with managers, servers, bartenders, and hotel staff regarding guest concerns or operational needs Assist with crowd flow during special events and peak business periods Maintain a visible and professional presence at rooftop entrances and common areas Qualifications Prior experience in security, hospitality, guest services, bar operations, or customer service preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally Strong situational awareness and attention to detail Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices preferred CPR/First Aid certification preferred (not required) Must be able to work Friday and Saturday evenings.
