Job Description

Shift:
7:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Sun Valley Resort is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Dorm Security Agent to help ensure a safe and respectful living environment for employees residing in resort housing. This overnight position plays a vital role in upholding resort policies, responding to incidents, and providing on-site support during emergencies. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, committed to safety, and enjoys being part of a team that looks out for others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patrol dormitory buildings, grounds, and entrances to maintain a secure and respectful environment Enforce dormitory and resort rules, including quiet hours, safety regulations, and parking policies Respond to and document incidents such as medical emergencies, noise complaints, or policy violations Assist with late-night employee check-ins, issuing keys and bedding as needed Conduct fire safety inspections and respond appropriately in emergency situations Escort employees to medical facilities in case of emergency Provide general assistance to residents: lockouts, lost and found, etc. Monitor building access and ensure that company property is not removed without authorization Submit reports to Risk Management and Security leadership as needed Provide service functions through safe lockouts, noise complaints, lost items, lost and found etc. Perform special assignments as requested or assigned. Qualifications:
Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor with strong communication skills Training or willingness to be trained in CPR, AED, and First Aid Ability to make sound decisions while enforcing rules fairly and respectfully A valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle Comfortable working independently during overnight hours Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods Previous security, emergency services, or hospitality experience is a plus Proficiency in English (spoken and written) required Ability to works well in group problem-solving situations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold.
