This role requires strong equipment handling skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, production-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Operate dragline equipment to excavate, move, and load overburden and other materials. Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment. Monitor dragline performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal productivity. Follow mine plans, production schedules, and supervisor instructions. Maintain awareness of ground conditions, highwalls, and surrounding equipment. Communicate effectively with ground crews, supervisors, and dispatch. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions promptly. Assist with general mine site duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience operating heavy equipment; dragline experience preferred. Strong understanding of mining operations and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret mine plans and instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. Skills & Abilities Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to operate large, complex machinery with precision. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Capable of climbing ladders and accessing large machinery. Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical. Work Environment Outdoor mining environment with exposure to dust, noise, and changing weather conditions. Work performed around heavy equipment and active mining operations.
