Health, dental, vision, paid time off About the Role Volunteers of America Michigan (VOAMI) is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Donation Driver to support our thrift store operations. The Driver will pick up sellable donations from private residences and various locations and will distribute the goods between the resale thrift stores and the warehouse. The Driver will also perform general responsibilities and labor at the warehouse, including baling, cleaning, and sorting warehouse materials, furniture, and appliances. Key Responsibilities Perform required general labor at the warehouse, including baling, cleaning, and sorting of warehouse goods, furniture, and appliances Interact with stores to keep up stock and to remove trash and non-sellable clothing removal Do routine maintenance on all trucks and warehouse equipment Have a general understanding of mechanics in case of breakdowns Lift up to 75 lbs without assistance Perform snow removal, ice removal, and salting of affected areas as needed Accomplish pick-ups and deliveries according to schedule Prepare and follow least time routes for multiple addresses Load household items securely to avoid breakage during transit Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner Support customer relationships Troubleshoot customer service problems arising from changing priorities Resolve customer service issues alone or with supervisory help Completing Pre & Post daily trip vehicle logs Qualifications Valid Michigan Chauffeur's License preferred DOT physical card and clean driving record required Ability to lift 75+ lbs and meet MIOSHA physical standards Familiarity with medium-duty truck operation and maintenance Ability to use GPS, complete reports, and operate handheld tech Strong customer service and communication skills Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent lifting, bending, twising, standing, walking, and driving Works in various weather conditions May interact with emotionally distressed individuals Must have depth perception, peripheral, and close/distant vision Why Join VOAMI?
