Full-time Position Summary:

The Driver/Installer is responsible for implementing all delivery and installation related tasks for Reading Precast. This position ensures safe and efficient delivery of products, professional installation in accordance with Reading Precast standards, and exceptional customer service at job sites. The Driver/Installer works in conjunction with other Field Operations team members and adheres to all Field Operations Department policies, procedures, objectives, and activities as directed by the Dispatcher.

Essential Functions:

• Deliver and install precast concrete products safely and efficiently in accordance with contract specifications, quality assurance standards, and OSHA regulations.
• Operate company delivery vehicles safely and legally, maintaining Commercial Driver License (CDL) and clean driving record with no more than two moving violations within one year.
• Collect customer payments as required, maintain professional customer relations at all job sites, and ensure acceptable housekeeping practices that present a positive image of Reading Precast.
• Identify areas where efficiencies or cost reductions can be achieved, make recommendations to Dispatcher.
• Inform Dispatcher of any required equipment maintenance in a timely manner and maintain company equipment in working order except for normal wear and tear.
• Maintain operational communication to facilitate efficiency, provide assistance in other Field Operation areas as needed, and promote teamwork among all team members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of related delivery, installation, or construction experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must maintain valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) and must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles along with a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations within one year.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to effectively communicate with managers, clients, vendors, and the public; work without constant supervision; and make sound decisions in the field.
• Knowledge of electronic log software is a plus; strong customer service skills and professional demeanor required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding work including loading, unloading, and installing heavy precast concrete products.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform tasks requiring climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in awkward positions.
• Ability to operate commercial delivery vehicles safely for extended periods and use hand and power tools required for installation work.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed primarily at customer job sites and on the road operating delivery vehicles; exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Exposure to construction site hazards including heavy equipment, traffic, uneven terrain, overhead work, and moderate to loud noise levels.
• Must adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
• This role involves regular travel to job sites throughout the United States and may require overnight stays depending on project needs.

Schedule:

• Full-time, non-exempt hourly position with bonus opportunity.
• Home on weekends.
• Requires working hours as dictated by company needs and customer schedules; early morning start times required for daily delivery schedule.
• Flexibility required to accommodate delivery schedules and customer installation needs.
• Overtime may be required based on workload and project deadlines.

Performance Measures:

The Driver/Installer will be evaluated on adherence to safe work practices and OSHA regulations, maintenance of clean driving record with no more than two moving violations within one year, working at an efficient and productive rate without jeopardizing safety or quality, consistently meeting estimated delivery and installation times, proper maintenance of company equipment, professional conduct presenting a positive image of Reading Precast to customers, quality of installation work meeting contract specifications, effective communication and teamwork with Dispatcher and Field Operations team members, and proper handling of customer payments.
