The ideal candidate will have experience in the drywall installation process, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Drywall Hanger will play a crucial role in the construction and remodeling of residential and commercial spaces. Duties Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints. Measure, cut, and shape drywall materials to fit around fixtures and openings. Secure drywall panels using screws or nails, ensuring they are properly aligned and fastened. Apply tape and joint compound to seams between panels for a smooth finish. Sand surfaces to prepare for painting or finishing. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including masons, remodelers, and restoration specialists, to ensure project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines. Assist in flooring installation, tile laying, or other maintenance person tasks as needed. Requirements Proven experience in drywall installation or related fields such as masonry, remodeling, or the restoration industry. Proficient in blueprint reading and construction estimating. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in drywall hanging and general construction practices. Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
