Drywaller and Painter Needed

Blockson Sales and Construction LLC is looking for an 1099 contractor experienced Drywaller / Painter who is skilled with plaster, joint compound, drywall finishing, sanding, patchwork, and painting. This position is for someone who takes pride in clean work, shows up consistently, and can work independently or with a crew on residential rehab and renovation projects throughout the South Suburbs and Chicagoland area. Responsibilities Hang, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall Apply plaster and joint compound for smooth wall and ceiling finishes Interior painting, priming, and touch-ups Patch drywall holes, cracks, and damaged areas Prep surfaces for paint and finishing Protect floors and surrounding areas before work begins Perform light demolition when needed Load/unload materials and maintain job site organization Clean up thoroughly before the end of every shift Take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner Requirements Previous drywall and painting experience required Experience with plaster work and joint compound required Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license Must have your own basic drywall and painting tools Ability to lift heavy materials and work on ladders Must be dependable, punctual, and ready to work Ability to work in occupied and vacant residential properties Must maintain a clean and professional work area Preferred Experience with trim, light carpentry, or flooring is a plus Experience working on rehab or property preservation projects preferred Pay Pay based on experience and skill level Opportunity for steady work and growth within the company Schedule Monday-Friday Some weekend work available depending on projects Work Location Various job sites throughout
