DSP Individualized Day Vocational Support

Beta Care Services CT East Granby $19.50 - $21.00 per hour Part-Time Monday 10am-2pm, Wednesday 10am-2pm, Thursday 10am-2pm Overview Beta Care Services CT is currently seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Individualized Day Vocational (IDV) Supports for an individual receiving DDS service. This is a community-based support position focused on vocational development, community integration, independence, and person-centered care. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, professional, and passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one individualized vocational and community-based support Assist individual with job readiness, volunteer opportunities, and vocational skill development Support participation in community activities and meaningful daily engagement Promote independence, self-advocacy, and life skills development Ensure supervision, safety, and well-being of the individual at all times Complete daily documentation, service notes, and required agency records accurately and timely Follow DDS regulations, ISP goals, behavior plans, and agency policies Transport individual safely to community and vocational activities as needed Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred Experience in human services, vocational support, community support, autism services, or day program settings preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Must be comfortable driving in the community Ability to pass background checks and DDS-required screenings CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Dependability and consistent attendance are essential for this role Join us in creating a positive impact by supporting individuals on their journey toward greater independence!
