Role:
As a DSP Plus/ CO-OP Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth operation of Stepping Stone's center and its programs, providing guidance and support to participants while facilitating the growth and success of the participant-run CO-OP. You will manage daily operations, lead various teams, coordinate with community businesses, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee financial tasks to ensure the overall success of the CO-OP.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Team Support Ensure daily operations of the center, programs, and CO-OP run smoothly, encouraging collaboration among staff and participants. Provide guidance and instruction in job, life, and social skills (e.g., marketing, work ethic, vocational skills) to CO-OP participants. Maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere, treating all participants as adults and fostering a culture of growth. Assist with community-based activities and promote participant engagement. Support CO-OP teams by providing business guidance and decision-making assistance. CO-OP Operations & Business Support Act as the primary liaison between CO-OP members, customers, and local businesses, ensuring marketing materials and regular communication are provided. Lead CO-OP meetings and coordinate special events, such as craft fairs and open houses, to promote business and community involvement. Ensure the CO-OP is operating within regulatory standards (e.g., kitchen/food service and agriculture regulations). Facilitate the intake process for new participants, explaining the CO-OP model, shares, dividends, and member responsibilities. Assist in merchandise management and branding efforts to promote product sales and quality. Administrative & Financial Responsibilities Manage the CO-OP's Square Business platform, social media, and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams). Oversee all administrative tasks, including ensuring necessary paperwork is signed and distributed, coordinating with participants and providers as needed. Work closely with the Pre-Vocational Program Manager to review financials, including bank balances, dividends, and anticipated large purchases. Manage invoicing, payments, and ensure accurate record-keeping for CO-OP renewals, fees, and purchases. Collaborate with SSSC's operations team on financial questions, tax matters, and special-event sales tax information. CO-OP Expansion & Leadership Development Foster growth within the CO-OP by building leadership skills in participants and preparing them for the workforce. Identify opportunities for new teams based on community job needs and CO-OP expansion. Develop strategies to enhance CO-OP branding, product quality, and market presence. General Duties Assist in maintaining the center's cleanliness and organization. Substitute for providers as needed and assist during lunch hours twice a week. Manage time effectively to ensure efficient task completion and program delivery.
Expected Outcomes:
Within 15 Days Gain a thorough understanding of Stepping Stone's mission, programs, and CO-OP operations. Build rapport with staff and participants, identifying individual strengths and areas for growth within the CO-OP teams. Familiarize yourself with the CO-OP's financial systems, marketing strategies, and community partnerships. Within 30 Days Initiate improvements in daily operations, streamlining CO-OP processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Begin implementing a development plan to strengthen team collaboration, improve participant skills, and enhance overall CO-OP performance. Establish strategies for increasing community outreach, customer base, and CO-OP sales. Within 45 Days Evaluate the success of the development plan and make necessary adjustments to further improve team performance and participant engagement. Demonstrate leadership by fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and growth within the CO-OP, leading to measurable improvements in business operations and participant outcomes. Need to

A minimum of a high school diploma Previous experience or strong desire to work with an at-risk population Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work under pressure while ensuring top-notch care CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain, at SSSC's expense) Valid driver's license and ability to pass CAPS, criminal background, and motor vehicle record checks Ability to maintain confidentiality Nice to
Have:
Previous experience in vocational training or life skills coaching Tech-savvy, for record-keeping and documentation
