Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Worker / Certified Nursing Assistant (DSW/CNA) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring compassionate care and support. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, monitor health and safety, and promote independence for residents across various care settings. Whether working in assisted living, group homes, or home & community care environments, your energy and empathy will help create a nurturing atmosphere where clients feel valued and empowered. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare teams Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while maintaining a clean and safe environment Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism or developmental disabilities, including memory care and behavioral support Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, medication administration, and incident reports in accordance with facility policies Engage in light cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards within the care environment and ensure a safe living space for all residents Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Hands-on experience with medication administration and care planning processes Familiarity with caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorders or other disabilities Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols in healthcare settings Experience performing CPR and First Aid certification is advantageous Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for resident mobility support Join us to be part of a compassionate team committed to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
