Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
: Dual Enrollment High School Liaison plays a critical role in creating a greater St. Thomas University presence at the high school site by identifying prospective instructors and students for the Dual Enrollment program. The Liaison is the main contact and facilitator for instructors and students in high schools, communicating directly with the STU Director of Dual Enrollment and Dual Enrollment coordinator.
DUAL ENROLLMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify instructors for the Dual Enrollment program by reviewing their transcripts and providing information on the criteria of becoming an adjunct faculty for the Dual Enrollment Program. Ensure that all syllabi for courses taught by the Dual Enrollment Instructors are submitted to Lead Faculty Mentor in a timely fashion. Develop a master list of potential Dual Enrollment Courses that will be offered each academic semester. This list should include St. Thomas University course number, the St. Thomas University course name, the number of sections for each course, and the name of the Dual Enrollment adjunct faculty teaching each course. Each semester, the Liaison will present Dual Enrollment course offerings to students, assist them with applying (NEW students ONLY) for the program, and submit initial rosters to STU by deadline on the Dual Enrollment calendar. Liaison is responsible for ensuring students have satisfied all requirements to be able to participate in Dual Enrollment courses. Review and approve final course rosters within a designated deadline. At the end of each semester, the Liaison will verify instructors have notified their students to complete the course evaluations. Liaisons will verify the instructors have submitted grades for all students in their class by the deadline posted in the Dual Enrollment Program academic calendar. Maintain and organize Dual Enrollment student files (Acknowledgement/Authorization forms, student IDs, grade reports, class rosters, correspondence, etc.)
OTHER DUTIES
: Attend annual training Arrange access for classroom observations by the Lead Faculty Mentors Publicize any St. Thomas University scheduled events
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS
Must be a fulltime employee of the High School where the Dual Enrollment courses are offered. Must have access to student records to facilitate enrollment in Dual Enrollment courses. Must have ability to communicate effectively with teachers, students, administrators and STU staff in a timely manner.
