Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and unload materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other construction-related freight. Your expertise in truck driving and route management will ensure timely deliveries and efficient job site operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks with manual transmission safely across various routes, ensuring adherence to traffic laws and company policies. Load and unload materials efficiently, utilizing equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, and safety features. Follow designated routes to deliver freight promptly while managing route driving challenges effectively. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs. Communicate clearly with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly. Assist with additional tasks such as operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tanker trucks depending on project requirements. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and vehicle safety protocols. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or other material handling tools. Familiarity with route driving, freight delivery procedures, and traffic regulations. Experience working with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized freight is a plus. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
