Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles such as roll-off trucks and tractor-trailers to transport materials to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring secure placement of materials in accordance with safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, tire condition, and safety equipment functionality. Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting as needed for traffic or site conditions to meet delivery deadlines. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate pickups and drop-offs efficiently. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including proper handling of refrigerated trailers or tankers when applicable. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or similar heavy vehicles in a commercial setting. Proficiency in manual transmission driving and familiarity with route driving techniques. Experience with load & unload operations, including freight handling on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight. Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations, including handling tanker loads or hazardous materials if applicable. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
