Dump Truck Driver

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dump Truck Driver and take on a vital role in transporting materials efficiently and safely across various job sites. Safely operate dump truck in and out of pits, and jobsites, communicating with onsite foreman's and superintendents of what materials to bring and take out. When driving is not needed be flexible in jumping out of truck and helping ground crews with daily tasks, help pipe crews and laborers in all aspects of jobs when not driving, be able to jump in equipment and load own truck when needed. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like loaders or excavators. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports to ensure compliance with company policies. Follow designated routes diligently while adapting to changing conditions to meet project deadlines. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Communicate effectively with superintendents and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups seamlessly. Ensure all driving activities comply with local traffic laws, safety standards, and company regulations. Experience Proven experience operating dump trucks. Familiarity with manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as loaders and excavators. Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, including load securement and vehicle maintenance checks. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with relevant endorsements; experience with manual transmission preferred.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
