Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable person who has experience driving an older manual Freightliner truck. Some aggregate pits open as early as 5:30 am. We need a canidate who can arrive at a jobsite which is an hour away at 6:00am. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregate safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate routes effectively. All routes are within a 150-mile radius. Monday through Friday, and occasionally Saturdays. You're home every night. Responsibilities Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload aggregates, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transit. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) Minimum three-year experience in truck driving. Ability to handle route driving efficiently while managing time effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining logs and documentation. Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
