Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks and various heavy equipment to support construction projects, ensuring efficient material transportation and site operations. Your expertise in equipment handling and construction site experience will be vital in maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards on-site. Duties Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction supplies across job sites. Skillfully operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, graders, water trucks, horizontal drilling machines, tankers, and paving machinery to support various construction activities. Conduct pre-operation inspections on all equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning; perform routine maintenance as needed. Assist with site preparation tasks by operating machinery like bulldozers, graders, and loaders to level ground and prepare surfaces for construction activities. Coordinate with project managers and crew members to ensure timely delivery of materials and smooth workflow on-site. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and transportation activities. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery. Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) for operating dump trucks and other large vehicles. Extensive construction site experience with familiarity in various construction processes and safety standards. Proficiency in operating Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery used in construction projects. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and site supervisors effectively. Physical stamina to handle long hours of operation in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
