Medical Device Representative /
Orthotic Fitter Job Type:
Full-Time Salary:
From $3500-$4,000 per month, plus monthly

Schedule:
8-hour shift, Monday-Friday Position Summary We are seeking a Medical Device Representative / Orthotic Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide education to patients regarding the application, use, care, and expected outcomes of durable medical equipment (DME) as directed by physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations. You will also ensure the accurate and confidential handling of patient data in compliance with Medicare guidelines and company policies. Essential Functions Deliver and properly fit patients for DME products. Perform minor modifications as needed to ensure patient comfort and proper fit. Collect co-payments from patients at the time of fitting. Restock inventory at stock and bill clinics. Provide excellent customer service by educating patients on equipment usage and conducting follow-up calls. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinic staff and providers. Learn and apply basic medical insurance billing requirements and coding. Comply with all HIPAA, Medicaid, and applicable regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) Associate degree or BA recommended Strong active listening, reading, and comprehension skills for interpreting charts, reports, and correspondence. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists, and patients. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. Medical background required. Customer service experience preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper biomedical techniques frequently throughout the workday. Capability to walk, bend, stand, and reach consistently during shifts. Sufficient visual acuity to maintain accurate records and recognize written instructions. Ability to speak and hear clearly to provide instructions and interact with patients. Capacity to engage in sustained activities for extended periods in accordance with state labor laws.
