This is a Salary Exempt position. In this role, you will oversee the entire dyeing process, ensuring high-quality color consistency and efficient workflow. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement, uphold safety standards, and foster a productive environment that emphasizes quality and teamwork. Duties Supervise daily dyeing operations, including preparation, execution, and quality inspection of dye batches to meet exact color specifications. Coordinate with production teams to ensure seamless materials handling, from raw fabric to finished dyed products. Oversee machinery such as dyeing machines and other textile processing equipment, performing routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency across the dyehouse. Conduct quality inspections throughout the dyeing process to ensure color accuracy, fabric integrity, and adherence to safety standards. Manage packaging operations and oversee proper handling of finished goods for shipment or storage using forklifts or pallet jacks. Lead safety initiatives by enforcing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and maintaining a safe work environment for all team members. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on textile dyeing or related processes. Strong mechanical knowledge of dyeing equipment, machining tools, and materials handling devices such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Familiarity with quality inspection techniques specific to textile products and color matching standards. Knowledge of screen printing processes is a plus. Prior warehouse experience combined with expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies preferred. Ability to operate dye machines and perform quality checks or minor repairs. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced setting. The schedule is 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday night through Thursday night. Every other week are Monday night through Wednesday night.
