Salary:
$25•28/Hour We are seeking a dedicated, experienced caregiver and private child educator for our two daughters, ages five and seven, to support our family primarily in Crosslake, Minnesota. This is a contract-based role focused solely on our children, blending high-quality childcare with educational support. The ideal candidate is calm, grounded, and engaged, with a genuine love for children and an appreciation for daily rhythm, structure, and learning through lived experience.
Responsibilities include:
Providing attentive, nurturing care throughout the day Supporting reading, basic academics, and age-appropriate learning Teaching and modeling etiquette, manners, and practical life skills Preparing simple meals and snacks for the girls (food stipend provided) Pick-ups, drop-offs, and transportation to activities etc Encouraging involvement in extracurricular activities and community outings Creating an active, enriching daily routine with time outdoors and away from screens The schedule would generally be Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm CST, with flexibility on Fridays and every other Saturday for approximately four hours. Evenings and Sundays are typically off unless mutually agreed upon. Housing may be included on one of our local properties for the right candidate, and relocation support can be discussed. Our primary need is June through December, with summer being the priority, though our main goal is finding the right fit. We are looking for someone who views this role as a partnership with parents and who brings warmth, steadiness, and intention into a child's daily life.
