26-27 School Year Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full time Early Childhood Assistant at Ray Kilmer Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year . The Early Childhood Assistant works directly with the preschool classroom teachers to care for and educate preschool age children through age-appropriate learning experiences. Preschool classrooms are inclusive environments that serve students with various developmental needs. A person in this position is responsible for all children in the classroom. This is a full time position working Monday- Friday on student contact days. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree in Early Childhood or meet the CDEC licensing requirements for Assistant Group Leader (7.702.45) is preferred. Facilitates positive play and interactions by participating with children throughout the class period including centers, recess, and snack Assists in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities that foster exploration and independence by utilizing the approved curriculum Provides assistance to children who require differentiated learning experiences Assists students with self-help skills such as hand-washing, coats, toileting, diapering, and opening snacks Contributes actively to the goals and success of all teams and team members through collaboration, cooperation, and flexibility in team discussions, activities, and decision making The starting hourly wage for this position is $20.20 - $21.78 depending on previous experience. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
