Early Childhood Float Assistant Glendale Campus Full-Time, 9:30am - 5:30pm
Start Date:
August 3, 2026 Early Start in May 2026 May Be Available Christ Community Lutheran School has an opening to join our Early Childhood Education team as a full-time Float Assistant . The ideal candidate will have experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. As a Float Assistant, you have a regular structure schedule working in multiple classrooms in a single day. You pop into specific classrooms to cover coworker breaks and offer another set of hands during extra-busy times. You are everyone's favorite coworker! You get the variety that comes with a subbing role, but the stability that comes with a regular staff position. You also experience working alongside different teacher partners and adapt to different age-level classrooms: a unique opportunity to explore and find your ideal long-term fit. Is this role for me? Core Values Christ-centered People-focused Excellence-driven Future-directed Float Assistant Duties Assist lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic care needs Use technology for professional development and communication with parents and team members Collaborate with ECE team to create a positive and supportive team environment Schedule Standard full-time hourly schedule is 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

40 hours per week

Academic Calendar Employment:
duties are typically August 1 through May 31, with June/July off Summer Camp in June/July provides optional year-round employment if interested Requirements Associate's degree or equivalent preferred Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with others Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry young children up to 50 pounds Passion for teaching and working with children Alignment with CCLS mission and statement of faith Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay rate $16/hour ($17 if Bachelor's degree completed) Health insurance plan includes medical, dental, vision for worker & child(ren) Opt-out bonus available if health insurance plan not taken Short-term disability, long-term disability, basic life insurance, 403(b) with 50% match, and retirement pension Tuition discounts/assistance for worker's children enrolled in our school Professional development, 1:1 monthly check-ins, mentorship program, seminars
