Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A fulfilling opportunity awaits dedicated educators with a passion for early childhood special education, just north of Denver. As a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year, you'll make a meaningful difference for a group of approximately 12 students, providing them with the individualized support and instruction they deserve. This contract position offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment focused on growth, inclusivity, and student success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (Early Childhood preferred) Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly ages 3-5 Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills A commitment to student-centered practices and continuous learning
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to ensure access for all learners Collaborate with families, related service providers, and general education teachers Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings related to student programming In addition to the rewarding nature of this role, you'll benefit from competitive pay along with medical, dental, and vision coverage to support your well-being.
