Job Description
Summer/On Call/substitute position/ available. Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning? Join our team as an Early Education Teacher in our certified childcare center. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of children from infancy to age 12. You will work closely with colleagues and families to create a warm, engaging, and stimulating atmosphere for our little learners. Your creativity and enthusiasm will inspire children to explore outdoors, discover, and grow in their early developmental stages. We believe that every child deserves a space to thrive, and as an Early Education Teacher you will promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. From crafting fun and educational activities to collaborating with parents on their child's progress, you will be an essential part of each child's journey. If you are patient, imaginative, and dedicated to making a difference in the future of our world, we would love to have you onboard to help us cultivate a love for learning and exploration in our center. Responsibilities Assist in Developing and implement age-appropriate activities. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Provide individualized support to children based on their needs and developmental levels. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices. Establish and maintain effective communication with Director, parents and families regarding their child's progress. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current in early childhood education. Requirements Be at least 18 years of age. Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and families. Creativity and enthusiasm in creating, following and engaging children in activities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive environment. AND at least ONE of the
Following:
750 hours of teaching experience in a Certified Center. OR One year or 1500 hours of experience in a Registered Family or Certified Family Center. OR A minimum of or an equivalent to an associate Degree or Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Human Development, or Child and Family Studies. OR Attaining at least step 6 in the Oregon Registry. OR Or a state or nationally recognized credential e.g. Child Development Associate (CDA) Additional training required after hire.Job Type:
