Early Intervention Behavior & Transition Service CoordinatorJOB DEFINITION
This position provides behavioral consultation, facilitates evaluations and transition planning, serves as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative for preschool special education meetings, and collaborates with families, staff, and community agencies to ensure appropriate supports and services for children ages 3-5.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: 1. Administer and score the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) screening tool for newly referred children, and when necessary, issue Permission to Evaluate (PTE) documentation in accordance with timelines and regulatory requirements. 2. Participate in and support transition planning meetings for children moving from early intervention to Kindergarten. 3. Serve as the preschool LEA representative for ER/IEP meetings. 4. Provide individualized behavior consultation to early intervention staff, families, and community partners to support young children with social-emotional and behavioral needs. 5. Develop and support implementation of developmentally appropriate behavior intervention strategies aligned with evidence-based practices in EI classrooms. 6. Serve as a trained facilitator of the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Young Children (PTR-YC) model. 7. Coordinate and facilitate PTR-YC team meetings, including guiding teams through functional behavior assessment (FBA), hypothesis development, and individualized intervention planning. 8. Stay current with best practices in early childhood behavior, trauma-informed care, and inclusive practices.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
1. A valid, permanent PA teaching certificate is required 2. Master's degree is preferred 3. Special education and/or Early Childhood certification require 4. Experience in special education, early intervention, and early childhood settings preferred 5. Knowledge of child development and its relationship to curriculum content, developmentally appropriate teaching strategies, and preschool materials and equipment needs is required. 6. Demonstrated knowledge of special education regulations is required. 7. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices in early childhood behavioral intervention, including functional behavior assessment and positive behavior support. 8. Training and/or experience with Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Young Children (PTR-YC), or willingness to complete required training and implement the model with fidelity as a PTR-YC facilitator 9. Communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, ability to cope with stressful situations, compete extensive paperwork within timelines, and the ability to accept cultural diversity is required.ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
1. Current, approved Act 34 (PA State Police), Act 151 (PA Child Abuse Registry) and Act 114-FBI Fingerprint clearances are required and must be renewed at appropriate, specific intervals pursuant to Act 153 of 2014 (revised Act 15 of 2015). 2. Current, approved Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training certificate showing completion of a minimum of three (3) hours of training every five (5) years.PROGRAM/CLASSIFICATION

1. This is a 12-month full-time position based on 200 day stretch calendar. This position includes sick and personal time off. Adjustments to the work schedule may occasionally be required to meet program or organizational needs. Attendance at work is a requirement of this position; any and all absences must be approved by the immediate supervisor. 2. This position may include evening hours and overnight trips. 3. Must have transportation to work locations.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
