The Early Intervention Evaluator will work with the Special Education Department, the Early Childhood Coordinator, and the Evaluation Team to evaluate incoming students through Early Intervention Programs and outside referrals. This position will also support the Special Education Department in an administrative capacity.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Pre-K Classroom Experience Knowledge of Early Intervention Service Providers and District TestingPreferred Requirements:
Master's Degree 3 years' experience working with students with Autism and/or developmental disabilities Experience in applying the principles of Applied Behavior AnalysisDuties:
Upon receipt of a signed evaluation consent and file sent from the Special Education office to the Early Childhood Coordinator, the evaluator will be responsible to evaluate the child on the given date and time assigned by the Coordinator. The Evaluator will work with the Special Education Department, the Early Childhood Coordinator, and the team to evaluate incoming students through Early Intervention Programs and outside referrals. On the day of the evaluation, the evaluator will perform the cognitive portion of the testing. Other portions of the testing (i.e. Speech/Language, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy) are performed by staff specializing in those areas The evaluator is responsible for writing and submitting the cognitive portion of the report for review by the team within 24 hours after the evaluation. The evaluator is responsible for presenting the evaluation summary and evaluation results during the set meeting date. The evaluator is responsible for having the appropriate testing materials prepared for the evaluation prior to the evaluation. Support the Special Education Office in a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to answering the phone, filing student records and assisting with records requests, including requests from DESE.SALARY and Work Schedule:
$50,000-58,000 Full-time non-union position. 12 months.
