Job Description

Earthwork & Utility SuperintendentLocation:
Woodinville, WA Pay Range:
$60-$70 per hour + overtime
Employment Type:
Full-TimeA well-established general contractor is seeking an experienced Earthwork & Utility Superintendent to lead underground utility and site development operations on projects throughout the Woodinville and greater Eastside area. This role is responsible for managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality while delivering complex earthwork and utility scopes safely and efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day field operations for earthwork, excavation, and underground utility construction (water, sewer, storm)Manage field crews, foremen, subcontractors, equipment, and materialsCoordinate work with project management, engineers, inspectors, and ownersEnsure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with plans and specificationsPlan and sequence work, manage production rates, and resolve field issuesEnforce company safety policies and jobsite safety standardsMaintain daily reports, schedules, and field documentationExperience Needed5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman on heavy civil / site development projectsStrong background in:

Mass excavation and gradingWet and dry utilities (water, sewer, storm)Trenching, shoring, and utility tie-insSite logistics, traffic control, and coordination in active environmentsExperience working with municipal inspectors, utility owners, and third-party agenciesProven ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneouslyQualifications RequiredStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and schedulesSolid understanding of production tracking, scheduling, and cost awarenessOSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain)Valid driver's licenseProficiency with basic construction technology (daily reports, scheduling tools, plan viewing software)Benefits IncludedCompetitive hourly pay ($60-$70/hr) plus overtimeMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company contributionPaid time off and paid holidaysCompany vehicle or vehicle allowance (project-dependent)Long-term, stable work with a strong project backlogOpportunity to work on high-quality, local projects with an experienced teamHow to ApplyQualified candidates are encouraged to apply for consideration.
