Non-Bargaining Unit Position This position is subject to change or cancellation based on the availability of Adult Ed. Funds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess an English as a Second Language Designated Subject Adult Ed. Credential OR Multiple or SingleSubject Teaching Credential with Full EL authorization.
  • Experience of at least one year teaching ESL Adult classes.
  • Bilingual in Spanish prefered
Job Statement:
Valley Adult School is seeking a dynamic instructor to join our ESL team. The instructor will be required to lesson plan for the teaching of the ELP Adult Standards using research-based methodologies/strategies with the goal of preparing adults to become culturally competent and self-sufficient community members. The instructor will work under the guidance of the ESL Program Coordinator selecting materials, designing and implementing lessons for ESL students. Teacher should be prepared to delivery student-center lessons.
