Independent Living Specialist/ Trainers American Living Skills Granada Hills, CA Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Dental insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications Working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Developmental disability care assistance Developing new training programs Working with adult populations Adult education Full Job Description Provides 1:1 training to the consumer in the home and community Maintain data regarding consumer progress. Maintains continuous communication with Supervisor about programs and their effectiveness Provide support, instruction, assistance, and monitoring to address the goals and objectives outlined on the consumers' ISP. Responsible for creating/offering instruction in independent living skills to developmentally disabled adults in natural settings. Develop educational materials for assigned clients, and maintain individual progress records/reports with a supervisor. Communicate to the Program Director and Supervisor concerns about the program, the client's progress, and needs. Assist with any medical/dental appointments, banking needs, or Social Security appointments. Complete online training provided by the agency. Create the most independent living situation possible. Perform other tasks/coverups requested by the Program Director and Supervisor.
