    Available Hours:
    Wednesdays and Fridays | 8:30am-11:00am
    Job Description:
    Tai Chi instructor is a trained professional who teaches the principles, movements, and philosophy of Tai Chi, guiding students to improve balance, coordination, mental focus, and overall well-being through slow, controlled motion and mindful breathing.
    Duties:
    • Opening and closing the facility
    • Monitoring permit groups
    • Office coverage
    • Check attendance for classes and activities
    • Work independently
    • Communication with public and director
    • Instruct students in the movements and forms of Tai Chi
    • Demonstrate proper posture, alignment, and transitions
    • Break down sequences into manageable steps for learners
    Qualifications:
    • Currently employed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks
    • Knowledge of City policy and procedures
    • Able to work independently
    • Ability to be on time and follow directions.
    • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
