Job Description

JOB TITLE
: Secretary (12-Month) - Adult Education Division
LOCATION
NCCVT Adult Education Division- Wilmington, DE
REPORTS TO
: Building Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS
: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, secretarial, or office management experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other office productivity software. Strong knowledge of database management, electronic records systems, and data entry procedures. Excellent organizational, filing, and record-keeping skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding student, personnel, and school information.
GOAL :
To provide administrative and office support to students, staff, program coordinators, and Principal. The Secretary serves as a key point of contact for school operations, ensuring efficient office procedures, accurate record keeping, effective communication, and positive customer service.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
: Provide administrative support to the Principal and program coordinators. Maintain/organize electronic and paper filing systems to ensure accurate records. Serve as the primary receptionist by welcoming visitors, answering calls, responding to inquiries, and directing individuals to appropriate personnel or resources. Manage distribution/collection of Chromebooks and creating student login credentials. Manage paper and electronic databases (LACES, Edmentum, Schoology, CASAS TOPSPro) Assist with processing purchase orders, supply requisitions, invoices, etc... Support, electronic communications, and distribution of information to students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or designee.

By contract as established by the
Board of Education SALARY:
According to the salary schedule as approved by the Board of Education.
