Job Description

This opportunity is at Madison County Schools (YOSS)
Special Education Paraprofessional:
Madison County Middle School
POSITION
FULL TIME; 185 DAYS
PER YEAR
Para rates start at $14.60 hourly + $20 per day attendance bonus
Qualifications:
01. Must hold a paraprofessional certificate or be eligible to hold one, i.e., meet the requirements if the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, possessing an Associate's Degree or the equivalent of two years of college or successfully passed the appropriate state or national test. Documentation must be provided with the application. 02. Teaching certificate desired. 03. Experience working with children preferred.
Responsibilities:
01. Assist the teacher with routine procedures and perform assigned tasks such as supervising students, copying student materials, preparing instructional materials and bulletin boards. 02. Assist with paperwork, record keeping and data collection. 03. Work with students in small groups and individual instruction. 04. Must be able to work independently and take direction. 05. Assist with off-campus and community activities. 06.
