Job Description

This is a non-merit, temporary position. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services
  • Human Resources Enterprise.
The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for a temporary Resident Aide to work in the Resident Services Department.
Duties include:
  • Escort residents to and from hair care appointments, pushing occupied adult sized wheelchairs.
  • Assist in activity centers with projection preparation when not escorting. Hours are 8:30 a.m
  • 3p.m., 2-3 days a week (no weekends), maximum 15 hours per week. Current wage is $12.76.
  • All applicants are subject to a criminal background and dependent adult abuse check.
