WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Inspect and troubleshoot department equipment to ensure proper operation and schedule maintenance as appropriate. Maintain department equipment by implementing a regular service schedule and updating service records. Manage preventive maintenance and development of a preventive maintenance program for all equipment. Prepare lesson plans for high school and adult EMT classes, ensuring materials and plan are adapted to student learning styles and ages in classes.

Foster the following:

facilitate learning in various age-related groups, write evaluation instruments, and administer tests for outcomes, competency, and mastery of content. Represent the department at various in-house and community events as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certificate EMT or Paramedic 4 years Emergency Services Required 1 year Educator Preferred Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic (PARA)
• State Licensing Board Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• American Heart Association
