Schedule:
As needed for weekday afternoons, weekday evenings, and Saturday mornings/afternoons
Start Date:
Immediate Experienced Instructors Only Sigma Martial Arts & Fitness is looking to build a strong bench of experienced per diem instructors who can step into both children's and adult classes, follow an existing curriculum, maintain class standards, and represent the studio well. This role is for true as-needed coverage, substitute teaching, and event or weekend support. We are looking for those who can step in with professionalism and keep the class running at a high level without improvising the program into something else. What You'll Do Teach children's and adult martial arts classes as needed Provide coverage for staff absences Support special events and weekend programming when needed Follow existing curriculum and studio standards Maintain strong structure, pacing, safety, and professionalism Teach clearly and confidently to both children and adults Support a clean, respectful, inclusive class environment Represent Sigma well with members and families What We're Looking For Experience teaching children's martial arts as a lead instructor for at least 1 year Training and experience in a striking martial art style Strong command presence and class leadership Ability to adapt quickly while staying inside an existing curriculum Professional, reliable, and punctual Strong communication with both parents and adult members Experience teaching mixed levels preferred Comfortable stepping into an established culture without ego Requirements Must pass a background check and CORI check CPR/First Aid preferred Must be able to stand for long periods, demonstrate techniques, and move mats/equipment Must be available for as-needed weekday afternoon/evening and Saturday coverage Must be comfortable teaching both children and adults What Makes This Role Different The right person understands how to step into another studio's system, teach the class that needs to be taught, and protect the member experience.
