Hours:
8.25 hours per week (includes 5.5 hours of instruction + 2.75 hours of non-instructional time) 2 days per week (Tuesdays/Thursdays)
Tuesdays:
9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Thursdays:
9:30 am - 12:00 pm 78 days per year
Required Licensure:
Current MN Teaching Licensure:
ESL Required Experience:
Teaching English adults in a Family Literacy program in a diverse environment. Experience with CASAS, SiD, Canvas, & Distance Learning platforms. Ability to build relationships with students and staff. Experience utilizing volunteers in a classroom setting. Knowledge and understanding of the 3 content standard areas for Adult Education.
Responsibilities:
Teaching English to adult students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ongoing lesson planning, testing, and working with a team. Utilizing volunteers by coordinating/supporting volunteer(s) serving at this site.
