The purpose of the College and Career Readiness ( CCR ) Testing and Placement Advisor is to serve as the primary CCR Standardized testing lead for the Title II Adult Education and Family Literacy Act ( AEFLA ) program at the [Greensboro/High Point] campus and advise students based upon their placement testing scores into the most appropriate CCR program pathway. This role is responsible for the overseeing and managing the secure administration and proctoring of standardized assessments, including
TABE , CASAS , GED
, and HiSET, ensuring strict compliance with test publisher, state, and federal testing protocols. The Testing and Placement Analyst serves a critical role in analyzing student attendance, pre-test results, and teacher feedback, setting up and communicating post-testing of students who have achieved recommended hours achieving gains. Beyond proctoring, the Advisor plays a critical role in student success by interpreting complex test diagnostics and recommending precise academic placement and specialized instructional pathways. As a key member of the student support team, this individual facilitates the intake process by assisting in initial advising and the development of Individualized Success Plans (ISPs). By providing high-quality data and transition support, the Analyst empowers the CCR department to deliver targeted interventions that drive Measurable Skill Gains ( MSG ) and program persistence. This position will require the ability to pre-or post-test in the evening and on weekends during peak testing seasons, such as orientations and end of semester post-testing.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, social sciences, education, or a related field from an institutionally accredited College or University.
Education Preferred:
Master's degree in education, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field from an institutionally accredited College or University.
Experience Required:
Three years of experience with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs such as Title II Adult Education or administering standardized testing. Experience reviewing data and assessments, educational standardized testing, or educational advising based upon data. Experience using technology including Microsoft Office suite, a relational student information system, e.g. Colleague, Advansys, LACES, Banner, etc. Experience advising students and placing students into classes based upon educational data. Experience collecting, analyzing, and acting upon student data.
Experience Preferred:
Greater than three years of experience with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs such as Title II Adult Education or administering standardized testing. Experience with TABE, CASAS, GED, and or HiSET proctoring and test interpretation. Proficiency in a second language. Experience as a High Stakes Testing Administrator working directly with test publishers for testing requirements and irregularities. Experience working with National Reporting System (NRS), High School Equivalency Testing, or Adult Education Performance Measures.
