Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Adult Training Instructor to support individuals in our Adult Training Program. This role focuses on delivering structured activities, developing life skills, and promoting independence in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans based on participant goals (ISPs) Facilitate daily educational and life skills activities Track progress and complete required documentation (daily data, monthly notes) Support participants with activities of daily living as needed Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to care plans Plan and participate in community-based activities and outings Collaborate with team members to provide consistent, high-quality care Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field preferred (or 4+ years of relevant experience) Experience with lesson planning, group facilitation, or classroom management Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Valid driver's license with a good driving record Requirements Ability to assist with lifting and physical support of participants as needed Ability to pass background checks in accordance with NJ Department of Human Services Compliance with Central Registry and Child Abuse Registry requirements Pre-employment and random drug screening Completion of required trainings (CPR/First Aid, College of Direct Support, etc.) What We Offer Competitive pay with overtime eligibility Generous PTO, sick time, and leave benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage (HCS covers up to 90%) Tuition reimbursement (up to $4,800/year) Supportive, mission-driven work environment Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
