Director of Adult Day Services Position Summary:
This position provides support for the Development functions of Jennings Center for Older Adults. Essential duties and responsibilities which must be performed in order to carry out the position purpose summarized above: (The following description is a general representation of the key duties and responsibilities of this position. Other duties may be assigned, as required.) Assist participants with transferring, ambulating, toileting, grooming and medication reminders. Serve meals to participants. Support mealtime socialization. Cue and assist individuals with eating as needed. Clean up after meals including washing, serving and cleaning special adaptive equipment used by members. Engage adult day center participants in person-centered engagement programming under the direction of the Director. Obtain participant signatures on daily attendance calendar and give to team leader. Document lunch and dinner choices for participants and post/turn in to team leader. Provide and record medication reminders for participants. Complete charting on participants. Send home communication to families regarding participants and participants care needs. Complete incident reports regarding incidents related to participants and staff as witnessed ad needed. Communicate participant information/needs to the Participant Care and Engagement Coordinator prior to meetings with families and caseworkers. Escort participants to and from activities in other departments. Keep professional staff informed of changes in members' condition. Follow all department safety procedures. Observe infection control procedures related to personal care and dining. Attend in-service training programs. Follow Resident Rights at all times Know, understand, and exemplify the

Other duties and responsibilities:
Adhere to Resident Rights policies at all times. Observe all facility safety policies and procedures. Observe all infection control policies. Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner. Follow and assume accountability for all policies and procedures contained in the Staff Handbook. Plan work in an efficient manner and demonstrate dependability. Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program. Know, understand and exemplify the mission and values of Jennings. Respect, Compassion, Community, Discovery of Potential and Celebration of Life. Perform all other related duties as directed by your supervisor and/or manager.
Qualifications:
3A. Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this position. Specific concepts, courses, training programs or required certifications: (To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. At least 2 years' experience providing care to the geriatric population in a professional setting required High School Diploma or GED required Follow oral and written directions 3B.
