Upper Valley Career Center General Job Description:
Assists the Student Services Coordinator with conducting testing sessions in accordance with various assessment vendors.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Helps provide assessment services to customers including business and industry clients, prospective students, and career-technical programs. Assists with the development of the testing center assessment schedule. Ensures security and accountability of examinations and the testing environment. Maintains and reviews all test logs, sign in sheets, testing session score reports, and other documentation as needed..
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Work skills substantiated by training and/or relevant work experience. Ability to follow complex instructions and recognize and correct errors independently. Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks. Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Accepts responsibility for decisions and conduct. Exhibits effective organizational, time-management, and resourceful problem-solving skills. Interacts confidently with others and displays a strong customer-service focus. Shows evidence of core computer competencies and speaks clearly using correct grammar. Willing to take and pass several certification tests in order to be qualified to monitor the Assessment Center. Meets all mandated health screening requirements. Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Able to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check. Maintains compliance with drug-free workplace rules, Board policies, and other applicable procedures/guidelines.
Salary:
Appropriate placement on the Adult Education Intermittent/Hourly Salary Schedule to be determined by education and experience. Compensation is $17.00 per hour, (c ompensation will increase to $18.00 starting July 1, 2026), on an as-needed basis. Maximum 839 working hours in an academic year. One-year contract with opportunity for renewal. (

School Employees Retirement System and Worker's Compensation offered. Upon hire, additional benefits may be offered depending upon hours worked, job classification, and placement on the Upper Valley Career Center Salary Schedule. Some benefits are a shared cost between the employee and the Board of Education.
