Teaching Site Instructor for Jackson Theological Seminary BA and MDIV Programs Jackson Theological Seminary Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Teaching religious studies Teaching Theology Classroom Teaching Adult learning Adult education University experience Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teaching Site Instructor to support the academic excellence of our theological programs, specifically for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Divinity (MDIV) degrees. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with adult learners and contribute to the development of future religious leaders. The instructor will facilitate courses, foster a vibrant learning environment, and collaborate with faculty to ensure curriculum quality and student success. This position requires a committed Christian educator who can effectively teach undergraduate and graduate theological courses while fostering spiritual formation, academic integrity, and student success in classroom. Duties Provide instructional leadership for the Oklahoma City teaching site. Coordinate course scheduling and instructional needs for the MDIV and BA completion programs. Support curriculum development efforts by integrating innovative teaching methods and current research in theology, social work, or related fields. Assist students through mentoring, providing academic guidance, and addressing individual learning needs to promote retention and success. Support institutional accreditation standards and academic policies. Collaborate with library services to ensure students have access to relevant resources and research tools. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in compliance with institutional policies. Skills Proficiency with learning technology platforms such as Populi. Strong research skills to support curriculum enhancement and student projects across disciplines like social work or creative writing. Experience in higher education teaching, particularly in adult language education or classroom settings. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate diverse instructional strategies tailored for adult learners. Demonstrated experience working with students in a supportive capacity within university or adult education environments.
Qualifications:
Earned Mastor of Divinity (MDIV) degree from an accredited instittuion required. Doctorate (Dmin, PhD. EdD, or related theological degree) Preferred for graduate instruction. Minimum of 3 years of ministry, pastoral, or theological teaching experience. Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and ministry leadership.
