SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans,anizes, and delivers the program of instruction based on approved curriculum; monitors, evaluates, andmunicates student progress; maintains records and makes reports; enforces Board policies, regulations, and rules; supervises students, and secures and maintains school property and materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Kentucky certification appropriate to the grade level and curricular assignment (Agriculture) Experience and preparation required by the Board Effective Communication skills

Occupation-Based Teacher:

Applicant must be a US Citizen with a high school diploma or GED. Four (4) years of successful and appropriate occupational experience in the teaching area. A maximum of one (1) year of the required work experience may be satisfied bypletion of an accredited occupational preparation program for the occupation to be taught; and, At least two (2) years of the occupational experiencepleted within the last five (5) years.

Certification requirements:

Hold a professional teaching certification for the appropriate course code as listed under applications.education.ky.gov/SCCD/Home/Index OR Meet Occupation-based teaching requirements (see attached Occ Based CTE Requirements and Hiring Procedures document)
