- $107,141 DOE 2026-2027 Salary Schedule TBD Open until filled, first review of applications: May 22, 2026 Medical, Dental, Vision, WA State Retirement, 403(b), Sick Leave, Personal Days, WA State Family Leave Required Qualifications Valid Washington State teaching certificate with a CTE endorsement OR eligibility to obtain one.
(Candidates without a certificate but having relevant business and industry experience are strongly encouraged to apply and may qualify through Washington's alternative CTE certification pathway.) Ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: woodshop, welding, fabrication, construction trades, agriculture, mechanics, Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), and industrial arts. General Responsibilities Articulate, plan, and implement a balanced program to include classroom instruction, laboratory work Oversee and coordinate a Career Technical Student Organization (CTSOs) Effectively communicate with students on both subject matter and safety procedures around shop and agriculture equipment Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student participation and collaboration Differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs and styles of students Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance student understanding and engagement Assess student learning through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing timely f eedback to students and parents Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support student success Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of working within an extended period classroom Willingness to articulate and align with a local community college Bilingual (Spanish/English) Commitment to participate in extracurricular activities Personal Attributes Ability to inspire and motivate students High moral and ethical standards High expectations for self and others Team player and highly collaborative
