The Department of Philosophy at Auburn University invites applications for 2 postdoctoral teaching fellowships in aesthetics, beginning the 2026-2027 academic year. These fellowships are nine-month non-tenure track positions. One fellowship is a one-year position, and one fellowship is renewable for up to four years depending on performance, continued need for the position and availability of funding. Review of applicants will begin April 15, 2026 and continue until position is filled. Applications will be accepted online at Applicants will be required to attach a cover letter, curriculum vitae, research statement, statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching excellence, writing sample, and 3 letters of recommendation (at least one of which addresses candidate's teaching effectiveness). Only candidates who have uploaded all the required documents will be considered. Additional materials may be required at a later stage in the selection process. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong research potential in aesthetics, enthusiasm to participate in the activities of the Auburn Aesthetics Forum, and interest in research collaboration with senior members of the department. Final appointment is contingent upon funding and continued need for the position. Qualifications Ph.D. in Philosophy is required by the time appointment begins, August 16, 2026.
