Learn more about IU East. Job Description Indiana University East, Richmond, IN, invites applications for in-person and online Adjunct positions in Anthropology, beginning August 1, 2025. Candidates for all teaching positions must demonstrate a strong desire to excel in teaching and provide ongoing support for student success in the in-person and virtual classroom. Candidates should possess at least a Master's degree in Anthropology. Desired areas of specialty inAnthropology:
Bioanthropology, Forensics, Archaeology; Experimental Archaeology and introductory courses. Other specialty areas considered.Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate subject matter clearly, correctly, and effectively. Use methods, materials, and technology appropriate to the subject matter. Manage the learning environment through keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing school and campus academic policies. Collect assessment data. Demonstrate the ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse populations within the university and community. Maintain consistent instructor presence in virtual classroom spaces. Communicate with students regularly and promptly. This job posting announces future anticipated teaching opportunities. Adjunct positions are contracted on a semester-by-semester basis.
